The Ukiyo-e Suit, a woodblock worn.

Kimono logic inside tailoring: a suit whose back carries a full ukiyo-e print panel, cut so the image survives every seam. Commission it made to your measurements, or develop it with us for your label.

The bench / How it is made

How this piece is actually built.

Print-matched tailoring is mostly cutting discipline. The panel is placed before anything else is drawn, the pattern pieces are walked around the image, and the suit is built so the print reads as one picture when worn. The kimono influence is in the sleeve and the wrap of the front, not in costume details.

Questions / Before you commission

Asked before every commission.

Can it be made in my size?

Yes. Every commission is cut to your measurements, taken by guided video call or our measurement sheet. There is no size chart involved, and one round of fit alterations is included.

Can I change the colors or the fabric?

Yes. Ground color, embellishment palette and fabric are chosen with you before anything is cut, with options sourced from France, Italy and Japan.

What does it cost and how long does it take?

From $3,900, with delivered commissions typically $4,500 to $7,000 depending on handwork density, over 6 to 9 weeks. You receive a fixed quote within 48 hours, before any commitment.
