The piece, in detail.
Photographed on our own commission, at our own bench. Click any image to inspect it down to the stitch.

How this piece is actually built.
Underneath the gold it is a real corset: coutil, steel boning, a busk that closes properly, seams that take strain. The gold leaf is applied and sealed over the finished shell, so the surface cracks with wear into a finish that looks mineral rather than painted.
What it costs, stated plainly.
The same bench, your version.
Sized from your measurements, with the silhouette cut for your torso. The surface takes other finishes: silver, lacquer, embroidery over the shell.
Asked before every commission.
Can it be made in my size?
Yes. Every commission is cut to your measurements, taken by guided video call or our measurement sheet. There is no size chart involved, and one round of fit alterations is included.
Can I change the colors or the fabric?
Yes. Ground color, embellishment palette and fabric are chosen with you before anything is cut, with options sourced from France, Italy and Japan.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
From $1,900, with delivered commissions typically $2,400 to $4,000 depending on handwork density, over 5 to 8 weeks. You receive a fixed quote within 48 hours, before any commitment.
